The election monitoring responsibility of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seems to be paying dividend as the anti-graft agency caught Sotayo Olatayo Johnson, a contestant for Ogun State House of Assembly, allegedly caught with N1.709million neatly arranged in envelopes stashed in carrier bags.

This was revealed on the Twitter handle on the agency on Saturday during the governorship and state assembly election in Ogun state.

“#Polls: EFCC operatives arrest Sotayo Olatayo Johnson, a contestant for Ogun State House of Assembly, allegedly caught with N1.709million neatly arranged in envelopes stashed in carrier bags. He was arrested at Ijaye Park Polling Unit, Abeokuta, Ogun State. #SayNoToVoteBuying,” the tweet reads.
