Entertainment maverick, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy has called on Imo state governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha to track the state money before governor Rochas Okorocha makes them disappear.

Charly Boy made the call on Sunday morning ahead of the swearing-in of Ihedioha, a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives on May 29 after emerging winner of the polls, dislodging Uche Nwosu, the ‘anointed’ candidate of the governor.

While acknowledging that the work he is facing is humongous, he assured him that hands will be on deck to help him.

“Emeka Ihedioha please help track Imo state money in the banks before Rochas Okorocha makes them disappear. We all know he has sticky fingers. The work facing you is humongous, but we will make sure that most hands will be on deck. Good luck.”

He also called for an alliance between south-east, south-south and middle belt to collaborate in achieving a common political agenda ahead of 2023 election.

“I think the time has come for a strong alliance between the South East, South-South and Middle Belt. The outcome of the last presidential election gave a clearer indication that the time is ripe for the three zones to collaborate to achieve a common political agenda. 2023 is not too far away,” he noted.

He also warned Ihedioha not to allow the commendations that he has been getting get into his head, but to stay focused.

“Emeka dem don gather you now. Don’t let dis hailing’s get into your head. You are coming to clean up Rochases mess, which is a whole lot. Make sure you stay focus because this time around we won’t lest you rest,” he added.
