Many good looking Men have manned the position of authority in Nigeria since the country got independent from Britain in 1960. So far, the state of things in Nigerian politics has not given the room for this challenging role of leading Nigeria to be bestowed on a woman. This situation might not change any time soon considering the trend in politics Nigeria. Zoning and godfatherism is a major determinant in politics in Nigeria. The men folk are the most influential and dominant, they have not even finished taking their turns talkless of handing over power to a woman.
Between 1960 and today, many handsome and elegant men have propelled the affairs of Nigeria. This article will highlight the 5 most handsome president in Nigeria since independence

#1 General Ibrahim Babangida:
IBB as he was fondly called had very stunning and admirable looks in his prime. He led Nigeria between 1985 and 1993. He has a tooth-gap which endeared him to many within and outside he country. He is popularly remembered for annulling the 1993 general elections which MKO Abiola won. He is clearly a replication of the saying that “real beauty remains for ever”. IBB is still very handsome even in his 70s. Indeed he is the most handsome president in Nigeria since independence in 1960.

#2 General Yakubu Gowon:
” Jack” as he was fondly called over saw the Nigerian civil war and ensured that Nigeria remains an indivisible entity. He led Nigeria from 1966 to 1970 a position he attained as a result of a coup de’ tat. He was also ousted via the same manner. The “Jack” remains the youngest president of Nigeria, he was 32 as at when he took over power. Gowon was an epitome of handsomeness. He is one of the most handsome president in Nigeria since independence.

#3 Nnamdi Azikiwe
He was glitteringly handsome in his prime. He presided over affairs of the country during tge firat republic. “Zik” as he was fondly called led the country’s nationalism course and the independence. Indeed, he is one of the most handsome president in Nigeria since independence. Nnamdi Azikiwe remains a role model to many young Nigerians. He is the only Nigerian president from the south-east/South-south geopolitical zone to be mentioned in this list.

#4 General Mohammadu Buhari:
Alongside IBB, General Buhari has a very conspicuous and beautiful gapped-teeth. He blazed with handsome looks when he was the military head of state in 1985. Buhari is clearly one of the most handsome president in Nigeria since independence. In 2015, Buhari became the first person to defeat an incumbent president in election in Nigeria. This came after failing three times between 1999 and 2011.

#5 Umaru Musa Yar’Adua:
The katsina-born former Governor of Katsina state remains the only president in Nigeria to give up the ghost while in power. He was soft spoken, brilliant and more so very handsome. He deserves to be in this list as one of the most handsome president in Nigeria since independence.
