Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has been accused of plotting to destabilise the country. The Concerned Nigerian Masses, a civil society group, made this comment during a protest in Abuja on Wednesday.

The group’s protest against the former leader is coming a few days after his explosive statement criticising President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration and accusing him of plotting to rig the 2019 Elections.

The group said it is of the view that urgent and proactive steps need to be taken to arrest the plot by some “agents of darkness” towards plunging the country into crisis.
