Senates agrees to New National Minimum Wage of N30,000

The Senate, the upper house of Nigeria’s bicameral legislature on Tuesday gave approval for N30,0000 as the new national minimum wage.

Senator Francis Alimikhena, the head of the ad hoc committee saddled with the responsibility of assessing the minimum gave the report during the plenary session at Abuja.

The Senate also requested that the Federal government to compile a supplementary budget with a view to include the new national minimum wage.
