  • Makes case for their continued support and prayers for the Sen. Okowa led prosperity for all Deltans government

The senator representing Delta North senatorial district in the National assembly and Chairman Senate committee on Niger Delta affairs, Sen.(Barr) Peter onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi today,7/01/2017 met with the Delta North traditional rulers council at the owa palace of the Delta state Chairman of the traditional rulers council and Obi of Owa,Obi Emmanuel Efezimor the second.

Speaking at the meeting,which was well attended by traditional rulers of the Anioma Nation, Sen.Peter Nwaoboshi expressed appreciation to the Royal fathers for availing him yet another opportunity to meet and interact together as a people.He tendered his unreserved apology to the Royal fathers over the slight anomaly experienced by the monarchs during his 2016 Empowerment programme,attributing it to some circumstances beyond his control.

Speaking further at the meeting, Sen.Nwaoboshi, expressed delight on the large turn out of the traditional rulers to the meeting.He further hinted that the his decision to meet with the traditional council was to thank them for their support,prayers and solidarity to him since assumption of office as senator of the federal republic of Nigeria and to seek for more prayers in the new year. He stated that their prayers and support to him has contributed immensely to the successes he has recorded, in his journey to the National assembly.

He informed them that as thier representative at the red chambers of the National assembly and a first timer,that his performance has been quite commending against all odds. He called for continued support to him and the state Governor Sen.Ifeanyi Okowa to enable them succeed on their assignments to Deltans,asserting that Economic activities would been brought to halt in the state if not for the high leadership and administrative acumen of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as being exemplified in the effective and efficient management of the lean resources accruing to the state, taking into cognisance of the hard Economic condition the nation is currently battling with.He commended the unity and oneness that is existing among the traditional rulers of Anioma Nation, Calling on them to eschew from any act,capable of causing disunity and rancour amongst them.

Responding on behalf of the Royal fathers,the Obi Of Owa kingdom,Obi Emmanuel Efezimor,thanked Sen.Nwaoboshi and his entourage for the visit. He on behalf of the traditional rulers restated their total support to him and the Governor, assuring them of their continued support and prayers to the them.He lauded the many giant strides of Sen Nwaoboshi at the Senate, expressing confidence on his leadership style.

Others who spoke at the meeting, include the Hon.Commissioner for economic planning and that of Agriculture.In their separate remark, they charged the traditional rulers to encourage their subjects in their various kingdom, into keying into the state governments Agricultural programmes designed for the youths by the state government,as a way of driving home the prosperity mantra of the state government.

High point of the meeting was the raining of Royal blessings on the Distinguished senator by the Obi Of Owa kingdom,Emmanuel Efezimor on behalf of the Royal Fathers present at the meeting.
