President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Daura, his home town in Katsina state, on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s governorship and state house of assemblies elections.

President Buhari will exercise his franchise by participating in the elections.

This is the president’s first homecoming after his reelection in the 2019 Presidential election held on February 23, 2019.

The chief electoral officer, who is the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) , Mahmood Yakubu on February 27 declared president Buhari winner of the Presidential election.

His chopper touched down at the Daura Helipad at about 7pm and was received on arrival by the Emir of Daura Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar and other traditional rulers from the Daura emirate council.

PoliticsNGR had earlier reported that president Buhari was in Kaduna to commission a N1.24 billion Emergency Notification Center with real time technology and other facilities built by the Kaduna State government to enhance surveillance and security of the state.
