Video footage of a Police officer punching a civilian for trying to remove an APC flag from the Vehicle of a governor has emerged.
PoliticsNGR learned that in Benue state on Tuesday, a police officer attached to the security detail of state governor, Samuel Ortom, punched a protester trying to remove a flag of the All Progressives Congress from the Governor’s jeep. This occurred as Benue youths numbering over 300 stopped the governor from meeting APC members at National Executive Committee (NEC) in Abuja.
While the man was trying to remove the APC flag, a police officer was seen trying to stop him but he continued dragging the flag. This prompted the police officer to punch him as he wanted to descend on him but was restrained by his colleagues.
A few hours after this encounter, Ortom decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Watch the video below;
