Almost a year after the shutdown of Nigeria News Platform TheNews.NG, foremost news merchant, Polance Media Limited is returning to newspapering in a big way.

Polance Media Limited on Friday, November 17, 2016 started a new journalistic journey with the unveiling of a newspaper, Naija News, operating from both Lagos and Ilorin.

The online paper was launched at a colourful ceremony well attended by top-notch media personalities
While speaking at the Launch of the Online Newspaper, the CEO of the company Mr.Olawale Adeniyi said Naija News would be focused on delivering verifiable and undiluted news.

Mr. Adeniyi later told Politics Nigeria, a Nigeria News website in an interview that the establishment of the Naija News is a fulfillment of his childhood dream of influencing the Nigerian News circle.

On why the company opted for Online Newspaper instead of print he said “The truth is the future of the print media is uncertain. The full force of technological revolution is already forcing some traditional news platforms to shutdown”
News is now a dynamic and instantaneous issue . They want the news now. I finally settled for online journalism. I decided to set up www.naijanews.com .”

NaijaNews.com is not just a website or a blog, but a newspaper set out to change the scope of journalism in Nigeria with different sections on salient issues. As at the time of publishing this post, the sections include: News, Politics, Editorial, as well as Business.

Naija News also has a mobile app on the google play store for its android audience.
