Photo : Father brutalizes 10 year old son with a machete

A Ugandan father has been arrested for beating his son with a panga (machete).

Gerevazio Tushabomwe, a motorcycle rider, resident in Rwakaraba cell Northern division in Kabale district, violently assaulted his son for watching music videos on a neighbour’s television

The 10 year old boy (names withheld), a primary 4 pupil was saved by neighbors after they heard his cries.The incident occurred on November 3rd. Trouble started for Gerevazio after administrators of the boy’s primary school reported to the police that the child had too many wounds on his body.

The police intervened and arrested Gerevazio. His case file has been sent to a state attorney to prefer charges against him. When interviewed by newsmen, the suspect said that he only beat the boy for selling a mobile phone.
