Prince Dapo Abiodun. the Governor-elect of Ogun State has vowed to run an administration that will be built on truth and transparency.
Abiodun made the promise on Sunday at an interdenominational thanksgiving service which held at Saint James Anglican Church in his hometown in Iperu Remo area of the state.
He also promised not to betray the confidence bestowed on him by the electorate.
While thanking them for believing in him, Abiodun also pledged to implement policies and programmes that will be of great benefit to the people.
He assured that his just, equitable and a transparent administration will provide quality and focused governance while creating an enabling environment for public-private sector partnership which is fundamental to the economic growth of the state.
Abiodun emerged winner of the March 9 governorship election in the state under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after defeating his closest rival, Adekunle Akinlade, who had the endorsement of governor Ibikunle Amosun.
He defeated the Allied Peoples Movement’s candidate polling 241,670 votes as against Akinlade’s 222,153 votes.
Few days to his election, he has been visiting various stakeholders in the state to express his appreciation and encouragement during his campaign.
The recent was the visit to former Ogun state governor, Gbenga Daniel, who recently quit active politics.
