The ultra-modern clinic built at the Nasarawa State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Orientation Camp in Keffi, is to be inaugurated on Dec. 3, according to Mr Unogwu Jacob, NYSC spokesman in the state.
Jacob, in a statement on Friday in Lafia, said that the NYSC Director-General, Brig.-Gen Sule Kazaure, Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Mr Silas Agara, and wife of the Nasarawa governor, Hajia Mairo Al-Makura, are among top dignitaries expected at the occasion.
The statement said that the clinic was built and equipped by the governor’s wife, through her Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Talafil Foundation.
“The facility was built to provide adequate space and health services to corps members without having to leave the orientation camp.
“Inaugurating the facility is a historic event because it is the first of its kind among NYSC orientation camps across the country.
“The clinic has several facilities that are comparable with those found in hospitals; it also has several rooms and several bed spaces.
“As a government, we are delighted to have this facility; we believe that it will help us to cater for the health needs of our corps members,” the statement said.
