Heads of a delegation representing the 19 Northern States Governors Forum, Governors Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto, Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai of Kaduna and Umar Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa, on Tuesday, visited their Borno counterpart, Kashim Shettima in Maiduguri on a solidarity visit to the people and government of the North Eastern state.

Apart from visiting the Dalori IDP camp in Maiduguri, the delegation also presented a cheque of N360 million as a donation from the Northern States to support peace and integration efforts in Borno.

Speaking at the Dalori camp, Governor Tambuwal urged the victims not to despair, and to consider their present plight as a trial that will soon pass away.

He assured them that the efforts being made by the Federal Government will ensure lasting peace and security in the entire North East in particular and the country in general.
