Jackline Mwende, a woman who was mutilated by her husband a few months ago, has gotten a new lease on life. Mwende whose hands were cut off by her husband, Stephen Ngila Nthenge, got a set of prosthetic arms recently.
After a successful operation in Seoul, Korea, Mwende can now hold a glass cup and do things she could normally do when she had her real arms. She was flown to Seoul in late September and admitted at Dai Han Prosthetics Labs.
Stephen on the other hand is still in detention, awaiting trial.
