The Imo state governor-elect Chukwuemeka Ihedioha has promised not to disappoint his supporters after emerging winner of the poll.
The former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives polled 273,404 votes to defeat Uche Nwosu of the Action Alliance (AA) and Senator Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Nwosu, who was endorsed by governor Rochas Okorocha, emerged runner-up with 190,364 votes; followed by Senator Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who got 96,458 votes.
Ihediaoha, who took to his social media page to appreciate God and his supporters for the victory, promised that his word remains a bond.
“Thank you Ndi Imo. It’s a victory for all of us! I will not fail! My word is my bond,” he tweeted.
