The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Niger state, Mani Ibrahim Ahmad, has congratulated Governor Abubakar Sani Bello over his reelection.
Ahmad in a congratulatory message in Minna, Niger’s state capital said the party accepted the results of the election as the will of God but called on the governor to use the next four years to “correct the mistakes of the past and better the lot of the people of Niger State, in the areas of provision of critical infrastructure, education, healthcare, transportation, agriculture as well as youth and women empowerment.”
While noting that addressing these challenges will make the next four years memorable to the people, the ADC governorship candidate in the recently concluded poll said by accomplishing these, the governor would continue to be remembered by the people.
Ahmad also thanked all those that supported him during his campaign for their commitment to his cause.
Also the Senator-elect for Niger East Senatorial District, Mohammed Sani Musa joined others in congratulating the governor on his re-election.
Sani Musa, in a message, said the emergence of Governor Abubakar Bello as the winner of the poll has demonstrated the commitment of the electorate towards the growth and development of the state.
He added that Bello has shown commitment towards the realization of APC’s change mantra which is geared towards transforming Nigeria and Niger state, in particular, through robust economic programmes and policies that have a direct bearing on the general wellbeing of the people.
