The Mace that was stolen from the Nigerian Senate Chambers on Wednesday by thugs allegedly sponsored by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has been returned.

Clerk of the National Assembly, Sani Omolori received the Mace from the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of operations at the Force Headquarters, DIG Habila Joshak alongside the Divisional Police Officer of the National Assembly, Sulu Gambari.

The mace was later taken to the office of the Clerk of the National Assembly. Meanwhile, six suspects have been arrested by the police for stealing the Mace.

The suspects would soon be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
