JUST IN: Over 500 PDP Members decamp to APC in Abuja

About 500 members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kuje Area Council, Abuja.

It was gathered that former PDP stalwarts, Sarkin Samari of Kayarda, Alhaji Abdulhameed Idris Sabo, Hajiya Ramatu Idris, Yahaya Mohammed Gambo and other stakeholders in the party in the area.

Receiving the former PDP members, the APC chairman in Kuje, Mr. Godwin Poyi, commended them for their bold step in joining the ruling APC, saying their decision was a clear indication that the present administration has performed credibly well.

On behalf of the decampees, a former PDP stalwart, Yahaya Mohammed Gambo, said they decamped due to impunity and lack of internal democracy in the PDP.
