Nigeria is set to benefit from an array of activities by global gemstones merchant, Orion&Sirius Gems, targeted at giving back to Nigerian mining communities in the North.

Following the recent announcement of its “Fingerprints” campaign set to be launched in October, the brand revealed that it will be hosting the Fingerprints trio series – Nigeria Day, Homecoming Day and Masterclass targeted at giving back to the host communities by providing basic needs and empowering them with ethical trading practices and hands-on gemstones cutting trainings.

These activities will be unveiled officially later this year at a private event to raise global awareness on the importance of sustainable gems mining practices in Africa.

The brand will be unveiling different chapters of its gem journey and will start an open dialogue between international jewellery and fashion brands. Private rough auctions and a miners’ empowerment program will also be held to introduce the brand’s mine-to-market journey.
