The Zamfara state governor-elect, Mukhtar Idris says he feels humbled and grateful for the support given to him by the electorates and those who contributed to his victory at the poll.
According to Kabiru Bala, the Returning Officer for the governorship election in the state, Idris polled 534,541 votes while his closest opponent, Bello Mutawalle of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 189,452.
“That Mukhtar Shehu Idris of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number votes, is here declared the winner and returned elected,” he declared.
Idris, who took to his Twitter handle to celebrate the victory wrote: “Allahu Akbar! Alhamdulillah, i have been declared as the
