President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting in State House on Wednesday.
This is the first FEC meeting after the general elections.
Present is the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh; Minister of State, Heineken Lokpobiri; Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Communication, Adebayo Shittu, Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno and other Ministers.
The meeting started with the arrival of the president to the council chamber of the villa by 11:09 am.
After the recitation of the National anthem, president Buhari requested that the Amaechi and his communication counterpart, Adebayo Shittu, say the opening prayers, which elicited general laughter at the chamber.
Recall that members of the council had on Friday, 1st March 2019, paid a congratulatory visit to the president. At the meeting, the president said his second term would be tough.
Buhari had on Tuesday approved the nomination of inauguration committee.
On his return to Abuja from Daura, his home town, the president received some APC governors at the state house.
