President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Kaduna state for the commissioning of the Command and Control Centre of the Kaduna State Aerial Surveillance and Monitoring System.
The president was received at the Air Force Base Kaduna by the governor, Nasir El-Rufai, in the company of the Managing of Nigerian Port Authority (NPA), HadizaUsman, the minister of finance, Zainab Ahmed and other senior government officials.
The state government had earmarked over N2.55bn to procure CCTV cameras and drones, to provide adequate security cover in the state in 2017.
According to reports more than N1.5 billion of the amount was earmarked for the procurement and installation of CCTV cameras in strategic areas of the state, to reduce crime.
