Senator Atai Aidoko - BREAKING: Trouble looms in Senate as Court sacks serving Kogi Senator

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the immediate sack of a senator, Atai Aidoko, as the member representing Kogi East in the Senate.

The court presided over by judge, Gabriel Kolawole, ruled that Mr Aidoko was wrongly presented as the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the December 2014 Primaries conducted by the PDP.

The court held that Aidoko was not properly nominated by the PDP for the March 2015 National Assembly election and consequently ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to immediately withdraw the certificate of return issued to Aidoko in 2015.

The court also ordered INEC to issue a fresh certificate of return to Alfa being the winner of December 7, 2014, Senate primaries of the PDP.

The court awarded a cost of N750,000 against Aidoko and the PDP respectively.
