Following the invasion of the Senate by thugs loyal to senator Ovie Omo-agege, there was a huge presence of soldiers and policemen at the National assembly on Wednesday.

Stricter Security checks were conducted by the Sergeants-at-arms on workers and visitors. A brief argument broke out between some soldiers and police officers over their responsibilities but it was quickly resolved by the divisional Police Officer of the National Assembly Division, Mr A Sulu-Gambari.

The lobby was later cordoned off.
