Senator Hope Uzodinma, the Gubernatorial candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Imo State, has denied rumours that he has stepped down for the Gubernatorial candidate of the Action Alliance Party, Uche Nwosu.
On Friday, a report went viral on Social Media that Mr. Uzodinma had stepped down for Uche adding that he accepted a ministerial slot in exchange. However, in a telephone conversation with our correspondent, his media spokesman, Hussaini Bukar described the report as ‘false’.
He pointed out that it sounded implausible for a candidate like his principal to step down for another candidate a day before the controversial Elections in the state.
He called on the general public to disregard the report, calling it ‘Fake news’.
