Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of Aviation has reacted to the arrest and invasion of the home of  Rivers State Commissioner of Education, Hon. Dr. Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja on March 6th, 2019 by soldiers.

PoliticsNGR reports that Closed Circuit Television(CCTV) footage showed the moments some men in military camouflage invaded the residence of the commissioner.

Jaja, his wife, some family members and the State Co-coordinator of Arise Nigeria, Hon. Benjamin Diri were allegedly arrested by the soldiers as their whereabouts are yet to be known.

Fani-Kayode, who is also a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) took to his Twitter page to condemn the act.

He also alleged that the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government is intimidating and terrorising opposition in Akwa Ibom,Rivers, Kaduna states.

“The invasion of the home and arrest of the Rivers State Commissioner of Education by soldiers led by one Major Mustapha is utterly shameful. I watched the video and I am outraged. I gather that this is what is going on all over Rivers state and that many PDP leaders have been arrested by security agents whilst others have been brutalised and killed.

“This is unacceptable.I join millions of other Nigerians in condemning it. Using soldiers to intimidate and terrorise the oppostion in Akwa Ibom ,Rivers, Kaduna and elsewhere due to elections is barbaric,” he wrote.
