A group of policemen on Monday stormed the residence of Senator Dino Melaye in Abuja. The policemen numbering about 30 have currently laid siege on Melaye’s house.
This development follows the escape of the Kogi senator from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, where he was earlier prevented from travelling out to Morocco by policemen and operatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service.
PoliticsNGR learned that Melaye’s disappearance from the airport in circumstances that could not be explained by security operatives, led to the storming of his residence by the policemen.
The representative of Kogi West Senatorial District resides at 11, Sangha Street, Maitama, Abuja.
Checkpoints have been mounted quickly on the roads to and fro the airport and adjoining ones.
