A 26-foot python almost swallowed an 85-year-old Nun whole in Thailand recently. The Nun identified as Chin Darachan escaped death by whiskers after the huge reptile attacked her in a toilet at a temple in Rayong Province.

Darachan, who is only 3ft 9 inches tall wandered from her room to the toilet and when she opened the door, the serpent lunged at her – sinking its fangs into both her legs before she could escape and began wrapping itself around her.Monks who also live within the temple grounds heard Chin’s screams and raced to the outhouse to save her.

Monks who also live within the temple grounds heard Chin’s screams and raced to the toilet to save her. They used pliers to successfully loosen the python’s grip on Darachan.

The reptile was later released back to the wild. Photos below;
