Buhari finally succumbs to pressure to remove the embattled EFCC boss
Ibrahim Magu has been booted out from the EFCC by President Buhari. This development is coming after Magu was rejected by the Senate a few weeks ago.
The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been redeployed back to Nigerian Police Force (NPF) in order to pave way for a fresh person to be presented by President Muhammadu Buhari as the nominee to head the anti-graft agency before the Senate.
Politics Nigeria gathered yesterday that the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, sent a letter to Magu on the development and instructed that he hands over to the EFCC Director of Operations.
The Nigerian senate rejected Magu following an allegation of graft levelled against him by the Department of State Security Service (DSS).
