The Nigerian national assembly has been shutdown by security agents, early Wednesday morning.
This is believed to be an aftermath of a protest held by the Nigerian super falcons at the gates of the national assembly over unpaid dues.
However, a source privy to the situation revealed to Politics Nigeria that the move is a preparatory measure for the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari’s to the National Assembly today to present the estimates of the 2017 budget to senators and members of the House of Representatives.
All members of staff, pressmen and organisations that carry out their daily activities in the complex have been shut out. This has led to long queues and a very serious traffic jam in the area.
