Kicks off construction by driving Digger
Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose has flagged off construction work on all federal roads in the state.
Speaking in Aramoko-Ekiti, headquarters of Ekiti West Local Government Area of the state on Thursday, November 24th, Fayose stated that the move was in line with the government’s resolve not to shy away from its responsibilities to the people. He also added that it was necessary to embark on the project as the federal government had failed to do so.
Construction will kick-off at Efon-Aramoko-Igede-Ado Road.
In response to the governor’s actions, the Alara of Aramoko-Ekiti, Oba Olu Adeyemi had this to say;
I am deeply touched by the decision of the governor to start the rehabilitation of this road. The bad portions are menace to us here. That the governor has the view of rehabilitating a federal road, bearing in mind the problems associated with getting reimbursed for it, is very commendable. The governor has left an indelible mark in our hearts,
The governor also promised that asphalt will be laid on the entire Aramoko stretch of the road.
