NEMA supplies 105,000 litres of water to Muna IDP Camp

Following the breakdown of water supply at Muna IDP camp in Borno state, the State Emergency Management Agency has so far supplied 105,000 liters of water using trucks.

The agency will keep supplying water to the camp until engineers fix the water supply channel to the camp. In the management of IDP camps in Borno State, there are five sectors: Food and Security, Health, Education, Social Protection and WASH which is Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation.

The WASH comprises of stakeholders in the water sector including foreign partners and sector is led by the Director of Water Supply, Borno State Ministry of Water Resources. He is the lead sector coordinator.

The ongoing repairs are being carried out by the WASH sector.
