The Delta State Government today, paid a Condolence visit to the family of the former military administrator and Governor of the defunct Bendel State. Late Dr. Samuel Ogbomudia in Benin city.
The Secretary to the state government (SSG), honorable Festus Agas who led the delegation on behalf of the State Government was received by Mr. Samuel Ogbomudia Junior for the family
Hon. Agas described the late Ogbomudia as a leader who raised the bar in public administration and stated that his records in the area of infrastructural development still speaks volume.
He noted that the standard set by Ogbomudia led administration would be a role model to others and said that he would be remembered and honored for his dedication to the development of his people especially in the field of education and social welfare.
The SSG assured that the State Government would participate in the burial ceremony of the late Dr. Ogbomudia in order to give him a befitting burial.
Speaking, the commissioner for health Dr. Nicholas Azinge said the late Dr. Ogbomudia displayed a veritable track record of achievements in the field of education, sports, infrastructure development and industrial growth.
Dr. Azinge said that the legacy left by the Ogbomudia administration would continue to be fresh in the minds of many. Meanwhile, the burial ceremony of the late Dr. Samuel Ogbomudia has been slated for Friday this week.
Responding on behalf of the family, the son of the great late leader Samuel Ogbomudia Junior thanked the Delta state government delegation for the show of love and solidarity at this critical period.
