- Former ruling party to suspend whip for anti-party activities
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Effium ward 1 Ebony state yesterday summoned the Deputy Chief Whip of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Frank Onwe for an alleged antiparty activities.
Hon. Onwe who is representing Ohaukwu North Constituency was one of the four lawmakers who allegedly visited a prominent politician in the south east, who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). In a statement issued by Effium Ward 1 Chairman of the PDP Peter Ndubuisi, Onwe was asked to appear before the party’s disciplinary committee between Wednesday February 8 and March 31.
