APC target 1 million fresh members in Imo state

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Imo state has set a target of one million new members in its ongoing registration and revalidation exercise in the state.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Imo state Membership Registration and Revalidation Committee, Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu at the concluding part of the training  sessions for registration officers in the state.

A total of 54 participants took part in the training with two participants each drawn from 27 council areas. Participants were allowed to express their fears, doubts and confusions for clarifications as they were led step by step through the guidelines for the registrations exercise.

Addressing Registration Officers, Kalu declared that the Governor Rochas Okorocha has given the committee a target of registering one million new members into the party.

Kalu said: “This is our target and I intend to achieve it and if possible exceed it. As Registration Officers, you have a huge field responsibility in this exercise and you cannot afford to fail. Success in this exercise will be to the collective benefit of all of us here as increase in the numerical power of our party will strengthen our hold as the ruling party in the state.

So, I urge you to register as many people as possible that want to be members of our great party – whether they are coming from PDP, APGA or anywhere, just register them.”
