  • Cherubim and Seraphim tell Nigeria’s leader to tackle herdsmen killings

The Divine Blessing Cathedral of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Lagos, has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to empower the security operatives to tackle incessant herdsmen’s attacks saying the victory recorded in the war against Boko Haram may be overtaken by the fratricidal killings orchestrated by the herdsmen if urgent actions were not taken.

Addressing journalists in Lagos yesterday ahead of the church’s 7th anniversary and dedication of a multimillion naira worth of projects including a 5,000 capacity church auditorium, the church’s Leaderin- Charge, Special Apostle John Oyeku, said treating the herdsmen’s attacks with kid gloves will not be in the interest of the church.

According to the apostle, the church, since its establishment seven years ago, had not only preached salvation, but had also advocated peace and unity among Nigerians as it had initiated programmes and activities aimed at engendering peace and love among the populace such as members’ empowerment, provision of borehole for the host community, among others.
