Former speaker, Dimeji Bankole calls for better education and public health

Former speaker of the house of representatives, Dimeji bankole has called for more emphasis on public health and better education.

In his words;

This week the United Nations has been observing the International Week of Science and Peace. The point of this week is to celebrate and encourage progress in science and technology especially as it pertains to the maintenance of peace and security.We often overlook health as a security concern but public health is very important for the well-being of a society and the promotion of peace and security. There have been many technological advances in healthcare and sanitation and hygiene that have improved people’s lives; and happier, healthier people are less likely to engage in violence and conflict.This is why we must continue to push for better education, so that we are able to furnish society with better science, better solutions, better technological advancements and by so doing, maintain and entrench peace and security in Nigeria.
