Rivers Police bans use of SPY plate numbers and revolving lights

The Rivers state police command has issued a ban on the use of spy plate numbers and revolving lights by private individuals and corporate entities. In a statement signed by the PPRO, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, the ban is with immediate effect.

The statement read;

The attention of the Rivers State Police Command has been drawn to the indiscriminate use of SPY Plate Numbers/Revolving Lights by Private Individuals and Corporate Bodies, who brazenly drive against the Traffic, flagrantly disobey Traffic Rules & Regulations, and perpetrate other criminal acts.The Command is disturbed by this trend and henceforth warns those concerned to within the next seven (7) days remove the unauthorized Spy Plate Numbers and Revolving Lights or face Prosecution.The Command’s X-Squad and other Units have been directed to arrest defaulters and impound any Vehicle in default.
