An Indian boy with a birth defects is being worshiped in India as a god. Six year old Pranshu who was born with an enlarged head and slant eyes, is believed to be a reincarnation of the Indian god, Ganesha. Ganesha, depicted with an elephant’s head on a human body, is the god of good fortune who provides prosperity, fortune and success.
Villagers believe Pranshu is a divine child as he is worshipped by people including his teachers who bow down before him. He has four siblings, including an elder brother who has the same medical condition. However he can walk properly unlike the Hindu god.
He meets a crowd outside a temple near his village every Thursday.
