”Ikpeazu has refused to give me official residence” – Abia chief judge explodes

The Chief judge of Abia is not happy with the state government for not paying adequate attention to her requests for an official residence. Justice Theresa Uzoamaka Uzokwe lamented about the stress she experienced coming from Aba to Umuahia everyday because the government refused to give her a residence in the state capital.

While speaking at the Abia State’s 2016 Legal Year, the judge further stated that  the residence the government provided for her was in need of urgent renovation. She revealed that other senior judges in the state suffered the same problem as they still operated from their private residences.

“there are seven court halls in the state judiciary headquarters in Umuahia and we have 14 magistrates of different cadres sitting regularly.the solution lies in building more court halls”
