Rotimi Akeredolu clamps APC ticket in Ondo

Chief Rotimi Akeredolu has won the the APC governorship primaries in Ondo yesterday. In the keenly contested election with 2700 accredited delegates, the white-bearded former president of the Nigerian bar association(NBA) emerged victorious with 669 votes.

His closest rival, Dr. olusegun Abraham who has the backing of APC national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had 635 votes while Olusola Oke scored 576 and Senator Ajayi Boroffice got 471.
